I like most Marie Harte stories. This one just didn't do it for me. Eric is Victoria's mate. Other than that - the rest is just strange. I didn't like that she was a prisoner. Victoria's and Sean's characters were flat. Eric was annoying. He was an over the top alpha. One of the ones where I would say "No" to a lot. Oh, yeah and Victoria did say no a lot. He just didn't listen. I just didn't like this story.Sex - a lot

Victoria Fox may be a tough heroine but when it comes to her mate, she isn't strong enough to resist Eric, the king of the Ravagers, which are werewolves. In this story of a war between clans, the erotic romance sizzles not only between Victoria and Eric but with Eric's pack as well.
Victoria is a human but also a conduit, which makes her able to use psychic energy to her will to defend herself and other things. It makes her an irresistible mate for Eric, the leader of his clan. When she meets Eric for the first time, the attraction is instantaneous but couldn't have come at a worse time since she is on her way to meet her brother during a retrieval mission but it sure does make his chasing her that much more fun.
Ms. Harte has an undeniable talent of making group sex (four men with one woman) not only incredibly hot but completely believable as well. When Victoria is taken to Eric's compound, Victoria needs to claim not just Eric, but his guard Dom and two pack mates as well. Due to the small amount of females on this world, they are valuable and Victoria is a true treasure and exceptional with her talents.
This book was incredibly detailed and the sex was sinfully hot. But the beginning of this book is really fast paced and I felt I needed to read through it again to retain a lot of the details that made the rest of the book. It was like I was dropped in the middle of the action and I needed to catch up so I felt a little lost at first. But sticking with the book was absolutely worth it.
The ending tied up all of the loose ends for Victoria and her men with a beautiful HEA but there were other background pairings that didn't quite seem finished off. Hopefully there will be more from this universe as I loved this world and was sad to see it go. This was an awesome, sexy story and I can't wait to read more of Ms. Harte's work.

One of my all time favorites. This book is hot, hot , hot.
This book was seriously HOT! Characters were not really developed, but you can't really expect that from a short book. I found myself wanting the story to continue when I was at the end of it! Yes, there is some MM action (which normally doesn't do it for me), but for some reason, this was written well enough that it was good and fit the story.
If you like menage' shifter stories then this one is for you! Great unique story line with amazing characters! Vicki is full of spunk and knows how to take care of herself, but of course the "pack" prime decides she is the one for them! So after a good chase and of course lots of danger can they convince her to stay with them as their mate?! I will be looking for more books by this author!
I liked this story but it wasn't great. As much as I like a strong female lead this woman was jus hard-headed and immature. while of course w/ most shifter stories, especially menage, the woman doesn't get it or want to. But even @ the end she was still complaining and was acting like a straight up B! Also the m/m scenes threw me for a loop, and while I didn't mind them it didn't work for me either. I made the mistake of buying the second book to this story about some other characters and I must say the woman was equally annoying, no story, more m/m than b4 and just all around sucked! So don't waste your money. But this wasn't a bad story and I would have liked to hear more about other characters. Like I said good but not great
I'm on the fence about this book. The clear disrespect the males showed Vicky irritated me to the extreme. I get that it's about dominance but it leaned more towards no consent and I'm not sure if that was the authors intention. I'm not a huge fan of questionable consent hence my instant dislike of those scenes. The plot was ok but the romance left a bad taste in my mouth. I enjoyed the smut scenes at least.
